The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA) is a two-year, public residential high schoolhouse located in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is a part of the University of Arkansas administrative organization and a member of the NCSSSMST.[5] The school was originally known every bit The Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences (abbreviated ASMS). Academically, the school is modeled after the North Carolina Schoolhouse of Science and Mathematics. Studies focus on mathematics, computer science, science, and humanities. ASMSA students have many projects and activities that fill their fourth dimension. One of the schoolhouse's trademarks is Capstone (formerly called Business firm), a longitudinal enquiry project which culminates in the school'south participation in the Intel Science and Engineering Off-white, Senior Research Symposium, or Arts Capstone, depending on the project. Students select a research topic at the beginning of their spring semester equally a junior and will keep to research this project for the next fourteen months through a class titled Fundamentals in Enquiry Methods.
